PLAYER OF THE MONTH GOES OVERSEAS

The inaugural ABSA Premiership player of the month award this season goes to Thanda Royal Zulu’s Bernard Parker.
Parkers season couldn’t have started better. He has scored four goals in four games for us in the league and with the goal yesterday against Ghana he has scored three goals in two games with the national team.
Having spoken to the technical staff about Parker, there seems to be a general consensus that the award is well deserved. It is not that Parker has more ability than all the other players´, it is just that he seems very dedicated and works hard. He always trains extra after every training session, working on his finishing, which seems to be paying off at the moment since he is the leading goal scorer in the PSL and has also opened another avenue by scoring for the national team.
The members of the technical staff are thrilled to see that Parker’s hard work attitude is spreading. More and more players are now doing extra training before and after training sessions. Players are buying their own gym cards and doing extra strength work. The players have professional guidance from the team’s die hard physiotherapist Braam Du Toit, who makes sure they are doing the correct exercises.
The hard work is now paying of and to top this great start and we can today confirm that he is leaving for trials in Malmo FF in Malmo, Sweden. This is a grand moment for Amabhubesi because it gives the club a chance to show that they can send players overseas. This is a good source of motivation for the other players on the team. Thanda keep their fingers crossed as the player of the month goes to test his luck in Europe.
Malmo FF was founded on 24 February 1910 and is Sweden’s most successful football club. Many of Sweden’s most renowned national team players and international stars have come through the ranks of Malmö FF. Players such as Mats Magnusson, Jonas Thern, Martin Dahlin, Stefan Schwarz, Patrik Andersson and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has moved on to represent top European clubs, e.g. Ajax, Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Juventus and Roma.
