Interview with Bernard Parker
Our Captain Bernard Parker, who scored two goals for Bafana Bafana in their last game against Malawi, speaks about his development so far and how it felt scoring his first goal for his country.

FROM BENONI TO BAFANA -WHAT DO YOU ATTRIBUTE YOUR QUICK IMPROVEMENT TO?
Parker: I think I am a better player now because I have improved my performance and my goal scoring. I am a more even player now. I work very hard and try to improve because I have a vey high ambition to play in Europe some day.
PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT YOU AT THE PETROL STATIONS, IN THE PAPERS,ON THE RADIO AND TELEVISION - HOW WILL YOU HANDLE SCCESS?
Parker: I will handle it normally. I will answer everybody humbly and fairly.
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR TEAMMATES THINK OF YOU PLAYING FOR THE NATIONAL TEAM?
Parker: I don´t know, its a difficult question, but I think they should be happy because I am playing there because of them. They are the ones who set up and provide the service for my goals. So it is thanks to them that I am there now. I don´t think they are gealous.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO SCORE YOUR FIRST GOALS FOR YOUR COUNTRY?
Parker: It was a good feeling. I´ve always wanted to score for South Africa. Now my Euefa Champions League dream is one step closer. I just need to keep working harder in training.
THANDA JUST COMES FROM A ONE NILL DEFEAT. CAN THE TEAM SPARK THEIR PERFORANCE AGAINST SUPERSPORT UNIED?
Parker: Yes,the team is highly motivated and had a great start to the season A 1-0 loss is not a bad loss away. We can bounce back and start winning again.
